Grades 6, 7 and 8 -- LIFT Program of Faith, Hope and Love
This weekly study will challenge our middle schoolers in activities and teachings that will build on the three theological virtues (faith, hope, love) with each year’s curriculum. This three year program of service and study prepares the students for the Sacrament of Confirmation

High School Teen Formation:
Crosswalk
This scripture study and discussion of  current  topics for all our high school students is a valuable resource for teens to apply their knowledge and faith to what they experience and face each day. Study  topics included are: saints, theology of the body for teen, teen timeline.

High School Curriculum
Each semester one Crosswalk small group will be devoted to a three year curriculum.  High School students may choose to be a part of that small group to complete a systematic presentation of the Catholic Faith.  For the 2010-2011 school year, the Fall semester will cover the Teen Bible Timeline, giving those participants a tool for reading through and understanding the story of Scripture.  During the Spring Semester a course on Defending the Catholic Faith in Love will be offered, covering how to respond to commonly misunderstood teachings of the Catholic Faith.

Adult Formation:
Three adult options will be offered during the Fall Semester, and two options will be offered for the Spring Semester.  Adults with children in the Family Formation program may choose one of the five options.  Adults without children may choose to participate in one course each semester.

The Bible Timeline At A Glance (Fall Semester)
The Bible Timeline is a Catholic Bible learning system that makes the complex simple by teaching the story (the narrative) of the Bible. This course is an excellent starting point for all the fundamentals of the Bible and our faith.  This is DVD training with an assigned facilitator from the group. Workbook is provided; but no outside homework will be assigned.

Pope Benedict XVI's Encyclical: God is Love (Fall Semester)
Typically, a pope will identify what he sees as the central theme of his pontificate in his first encyclical.  Participants will read and discuss this (relatively) brief encyclical in depth.

Stewardship Committee on the Sacraments of the Church (Fall Semester)
The Stewardship Committe will walk through the Seven Sacraments of the Church, helping participants come to a fuller understanding of the significance and depth of these extraordinary encounters with Christ.

Introduction to the Theology of the Body (Spring Semester)
This is a collection of teachings by Pope John II that help us to understand who we are and why we are here—as we are created in the image of God as men and women. This is DVD training with an assigned facilitator from the group. Workbook provided, but no outside homework required.

Paul VI Catechetical Institute: Introduction to Catholic Prayer and Spirituality (Spring Semester)
Facilitated by the Sisters of the Society Devoted to the Sacred Heart, this introduction to Catholic spirituality and the life of prayer as a personal relationship with the "living God" covers the nature and meaning of prayer, prayer in scripture and tradition, types of prayer, obstacles to prayer and the Our Father as the model prayer.  Based on Part IV of the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
