Confirmation

St. Alban Roe's Confirmation Prep Program is run under the Youth Ministry Office. The ordinary age for the reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation in the Archdiocese of St. Louis is the 8th grade. For others who would like to receive this Sacrament, please contact Jim Blase, the Adult Faith Formation Director, at 636-458-2977 ext. 227 or jblase@stalbanroe.org.

Confirmation Prep Registration 2010-2011:

All Welcome Letters and Registration forms are available online. Please find the appropriate title and then click the download link in the table below to pull up registration documents for the 2010-2011 Confirmation Prep year.

All 7th grade PSR students should have received a Registration Letter, Saint Information, and Registration Form through their PSR classroom. If you are a new family to our parish, please register with the parish and PSR first prior to registration for Confirmation Prep.

St. Alban Roe school students will receive a Registration Letter and Form through Sister Margaretta, the junior high religion teacher.

All other Catholic private school students (Priory, Visitation, Gateway Academy, etc.) will receive a Registration Letter over the summer. If you do not receive a letter, please click on the link below to print it out from the website.

Mark Your Calendars: 2010-2011

  • Confirmation Kick Off Meetings - Mon-Tues, Sept. 13-14th. Choose ONE meeting to attend with your 8th grade student. See Confirmation Events Calendar for details.
  • Fall Confirmation Retreat - Sunday, October 24th. Start time: 1 PM. See Calendar for details.
  • Spring Confirmation Retreat - Saturday, April 2nd. Start time: 10 AM.
  • Confirmation - Saturday, May 14, 2011 - 10 AM-12 PM.

Retreats during the Confirmation Prep Year:

The Fall and Spring One Day Retreats are NOT optional. Our LUKE 18 weekend retreat is an optional retreat that is not required for Confirmation. If your teen is signed up for this weekend, they are still required to attend the one day retreat in the spring as part of the Confirmation Prep process. Your teen is automatically registered for the two one day retreats, so we need to know as soon as possible if your teen will not be attending.

Retreat Make-Up Process. Retreat make-up options are available at: www.reapteam.org. Go to "About" then "Calendar". Please select a date/location and then email Paul Masek, the coordinator of the REAP Team, at paul@reapteam.org - Paul will check with the parish to see if they are OK with guests attending their retreat, and if they are he will email you back with details.  Please note that the parish may require a fee and/or that your student bring a lunch or snacks to share. Please copy Erica on all email communication with the REAP Team coordinator. Thank you!

We Need You!

It takes many dedicated adult small group leaders, parents, office and retreat volunteers to make our Confirmation program run smoothly every year. Please prayerfully consider joining our team. For more information, check out our new volunteer letter in the table below for options on how you can volunteer with our 8th grade students during the 2010-2011 school year. Thank you!
