RCIA - Learning About the Catholic Faith
St. Alban Roe Parish is a Catholic community of faith. Our desire is to build up the Kingdom of God by sharing our gifts of time, talent and treasure with our own parishioners and with those of the larger community. We invite everyone to join us in our many liturgical services, outreach ministries and social events.
Formed in 1980 with only 100 families, St. Alban Roe has been truly blessed with continuous growth. Our community now has over 2,300 families, representing 8,800 Catholics. More than 75 new families join our parish every year. We celebrate five weekend Masses, including two which focus on young children and teens. We have two weekday Masses at 6:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. on Monday - Friday and 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. To build our Catholic community as One Body in Christ, many of our parishioners – and many others in the area around us – get involved in some of the approximately 60 parish organizations. These ministries provide opportunities to experience Christian learning, growth and community-building. They focus on many areas, including: Spiritual and Liturgical; Administrative; Christian Formation and Education; Youth; Community/World Outreach and Service; Social Groups; and Sporting Teams. RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) takes place on Sunday morning after the 9:30 am Mass in the Parish Office. Adults interested in becoming Catholic or learning more about their faith are welcome to attend. For more information you may contact the Parish Office, 636-458-2977. |
